The Center for Digital Evolution, through its director Alexandra Solano, joined the EGADE Business School of the Tecnológico de Monterrey as academic allies of the 2023 Jornadas Pymes, that contributed to the development of around 1,000 businessmen and women from Mexico and various Latin American countries who attended via streaming.
In this twentieth edition of the event organized by the Argentine firm Quirós Consultores, Horacio Arredondo, dean of EGADE Business School, offered a welcome message.
“In these SME Conferences, tools and new approaches will be provided so that SMEs and their managers can boost their business with greater productivity, personal motivation, mastery of the organization, consolidation of profitability, business criteria and vision,” highlighted the Dean.
The program was taught by international experts and covered five topics: artificial intelligence, quality of life, leadership, organizational change and digital marketing.
For her part, Alexandra Solano spoke with Rafael Sánchez, president and general manager of Microsoft Mexico, about how to understand the concept of artificial intelligence in business, use cases for SMEs and available platforms.
“To make an artificial intelligence strategy, let's never forget the basics. We should not focus on technology, but on what matters to our business. First, on the external side, with a view to innovation, understanding who our client is and how it has evolved. And, based on these new technologies, define if there is a better way to serve it. And on the internal side, see how data, the cloud, can help us evolve, and tomorrow technology will come to accompany us. We have to focus much more on the 'why' and 'what for', rather than on the 'with what' and 'how'," commented Sánchez.
Martín Quirós, director of Quirós Consultores, in his conference "Quality of life: Recover the pleasure of running the company", pointed out that entrepreneurs sometimes find themselves in situations in which their well-being is not consistent with their achievements.
“The more we take care of the individual that we are, the better entrepreneurs we will be,” he said.
Also participating as speakers were Pilar Jericó, executive president and founder of the consulting firm Be-Up; Enrique Baliño, founding partner of Xn Partners, and Julián Ocampo, founder of Play For Fun, who chatted about organizational change, leadership and digital marketing, respectively.
